Pete LaDuke
Drums, Percussion, Backup Vocals
Born in Detroit and raised on pristine Zug Island, Pete hails from a musical
family which includes a songwriter father and a grandfather who sang in the
Tiger City Four, a renowned barbershop quartet at the turn of the century—20th
century that is. Showing promise as a kazoo player, Pete quickly switched to
drums as a teen—mostly to piss-off his neighbors. His musical influences
include: rock and roll, jazz, fusion and naked Tyrolean clogging.
Pete is a well-rounded percussionist capable of handling the most intricate beats. And being somewhat ambidextrous, he can use his left and right hand – all at the same time! Influenced by bands such as The Who, Led Zeppelin and the DeFranco Family, Pete adds a certain polyrhythmic nuance that might better be performed with a drum machine.
Although bearing a striking resemblance to B Horror Film hunk Brock Tarzana (see deadundead.com), Pete disavows any connection to the aforementioned lady magnet and boozer and furthermore, has no interest in film other than personally owning a 1,000 DVD copies of Cannonball Run. Pete’s hobbies include: philanthropy, promoting self-awareness and stalking telemarketers.
